Swivel is one of the techniques that can be used on the bass drum pedal. It consists in charging the beater and release it into the skin with a simple flick of the ankle, pushing on the board one time moving the feet right and one time moving it left. This technique can be used for any patterns and grooves at different speeds. In this video I played some quarter, eighth, triplet and sextuplet notes at 160 Bpm, doubling the metronome for convenience. The bass drum is obviusly triggered.
